SOUL FORGED- Press Release
Know-it-all Oriana agreed to travel with aliens who need women. But she didn’t agree to abduction, life/death battles, and escaping with a bossy, arrogant man. She was sabotaged, attacked, and kidnapped, but she is far from beaten. Forced to participate in an alien battle arena with no promise of freedom, she has to forget the loss of her family and focus on surviving.
Enyl has given up hope. His people are dying due to a genetic modification gone awry. Darkness is consuming his warriors, and his world, as he knows it, will end. His father, the king, has rolled out a plan to save them all. But Enyl doubts a solution will be found in time.

And when a compatible female is found…and lost, he must rescue her, a human female capable of surviving despite all odds.

However, freeing Oriana serves to anger the aliens holding her captive. Ensuring she is cared for—as per Etterian protocol—he is stunned by the strong connection between the two of them. Such a bond was only experienced between Etterian mates.

Is she his salvation or is that wishful thinking on his part?

Excerpts:
“Dispatch, we’ve got a few dead criminals. Want to send over the coroner?” Callie spoke into her smartwatch.
“Again, Devereaux?”
“Yup." She chuckled. "These bastards have a death wish. They keep posing in front of my gun. What’s a girl to do?”
Gabe cursed, thumping his forehead on the doorframe. Once they knew how precious she was, they’d hunt her. They'd challenge him for the right to her. Worse, enslave her. He sucked in a sharp breath. Not on his bedraggled soul would he allow harm to befall his untamed Callie.
Callie smiled like she’d seen medics do. If he didn’t want help, she couldn’t force the issue. He was too big to drag up the ladder, anyway. Anyone trapped underground had to be hiding from the law. Unfortunately for him, the law had found him.
“I smell like food?” Her stare was unblinking.
If he said yes, she was leaving his vampiric ass on that couch, bleeding or not.
“No, like pure, unadulterated sex.”
At his words, that silly need coiled in her belly then traveled lower to throb.
That was unexpected.
“You are mine, Callista.”
Shit, that didn’t sound good. Like she was his pet. An animal.
She’d heard of a few suckbloods who owned humans.
The fvcking balls on this s3xy…um, annoying man.
Part of her exploded in tingles at his dominant nature.
The detective part wanted to shoot him where he stood.
The taste of her bl00d made him growl. The sound tearing from his throat was one he hadn’t released in years. Sheer ecstasy. Peaches. She tasted like peaches.
He pinned her to the bathroom wall. “What are you doing to me?” he asked, burying his face in her neck, licking the water droplets, tasting her skin, scraping his fangs across the pulse there.
Her lust-filled gaze, her parted lips with the tip of her tongue toying with the fullness of her bottom lip made him thump the back of his head on the wall. “Woman, you’re killing me.”
After all, Gabe had years to perfect the art of kissing, and under his lips, it was truly an art form. Designed to seduce, he didn’t even have to use thirty percent of his tricks on her. She was a disgrace to womankind, to the force, to the Devereaux name.
He could’ve gone all alpha on her. Now she’d never know if she’d have loved him being all up-in-her-face macho. Her lady bits would. They hummed with an eagerness that made this moment feel like Christmas eve.

This novel is enthralling. Callie, the main character, is strong and sassy, but she also has her weaknesses and insecurities. Her romantic interest (avoiding spoilers here) is equally strong and the romance between them is intense. This adult novel is stunning. Sevannah Storm draws you in, ensnaring you with dynamic characters, a thrilling plot and that incredible romance. Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Out of all the books I read so far this year this has to be the best. And that is saying a lot. Took a chance on a new author and I don't regret it. Hoping to see more of George in the next book and curious about the other characters. Am in love with the world she created.

The Huntress is about a sassy detective named Callista who has to navigate a world with multiple creatures in a paranormal world.
This is the first book in a series and I can't wait to pick up book number 2. It is beautifully written and the character development is perfection. I enjoyed every aspect of this book and really wish I could read it for the first time again. I also cannot believe this is a debut novel because everything about it is so good. It is so well written and keeps you hooked until the very end. Highly recommend for your next read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting story!
Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2023
Very interesting story. Callie is a force to be reckoned with. She’s got all kinds of emotions flowing through her as she is trying to figure out who/what she truly is and wants to be. Especially after she meets the vampire that calls to her very core. This story has plenty of vampires and shifters to keep it going and keep me intrigued. It’s definitely not a slow-burn romance, it’s more like a locomotive going full speed with no breaks romance! There is definitely more to the story with several characters and I’m looking forward to continuing the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars HIGHLY recommend!

‘The Huntress: The Blood of Legends’ by Sevannah Storm offered thrilling character development on classic fantastical creatures in a paranormal world. It was deeply enjoyable following Callie, the main character, as she balances both the tropes of a strong and witty female detective but also reveals deep insecurity and relatable human flaw in her fight for control in her life (which has definitely lost control!). In this sense, Storm is able to capture very human experiences and emotions, like struggling to develop a sense of control or defending one’s loyalty to family or convictions, through her twist to a vampire story. The dialogue and intensity between Callie and Gab was truly captivating, and I really got lost in the read! I HIGHLY recommend!

It's been a while since I read a paranormal romance, and The Huntress was a welcome return. This debut book by Sevannah Storm was a great start to what I am sure will be a wonderful series. There was lots of action, Romance, steam, and intrigue. If you enjoy that combination, I recommend this story!

Discussion or book club questions:
Callie’s tough exterior hides a lot of pain. What do you think drives her more: protecting others or proving herself?
Do you think Gabe was right to claim her so quickly? How would you have reacted in her shoes?
Callie clearly doesn’t do “love at first bite”—but does her connection with Gabe feel believable to you? Why or why not?
The cabal’s anti-multi-species agenda mirrors real-world prejudice. Did you notice any themes or commentary that struck you?
Let’s talk about the steam: What was your favorite spicy scene—and why?
If The Huntress was adapted for TV or film, who would you cast as Callie and Gabe?
Callie is fiercely independent, but when does she begin to trust Gabe? Was that moment earned?
What do you think will happen in the next book of The Blood of Legends series?
Would you survive in Callie’s world? What role would you play—detective, vampire, or something else?
One word to describe this book: Go! (Bonus: Explain your word to the group.)
