FIRE FORGED - Press Release

Britt’s a fighter and the self-appointed protector of her mom after her father died. No matter what or how, no one gets the best of her. She’s strong, self-reliant, and bold with no filter between brain and mouth. So when she accidentally-on purpose pepper-sprays an alien, things can only go from bad to worse. Hell no is she apologizing when she’s clearly not in the wrong. She’ll just have to stay out of his way on their small spaceship. Easy, right?

Nerx has spent a lifetime in strict control of his emotions, calculating every scenario. His life and grumpy outlook begins to change when he adopts Lily, a human girl. As a father with his daughter’s future in mind, he must complete a royal mission to Earth before he retires as supreme commander. A trip planetside ends in blindness, and worse, the woman who attacked him has no remorse. He wants nothing to do with her and plans to avoid her during the trip to Etteria.

Until she triggers the mating bond.

Now he has to somehow convince this shrew to take a chance on him and his daughter. Except, she’s not what he expects. She’s fierce but sweet, entertaining, and sassy. And the most disobedient woman he knows.

Excerpts:

She stared at him, fighting an urge to touch him on his hand, shoulder, or cheek. He was like a spitting cat, and she doubted he’d appreciate her stroking him. She almost rubbed her palms together; all the more reason to do so.

She swung the helmnet into his stomach. He ooffed and fell onto one knee. When he started to rise, she dropped the helmet and fumbled for the taser and spray canister. Adrenaline rushed through her, shaking her fingers. Unfortunately, spray happened before tase.

She cupped his jaw, brushing her thumb over his lips. His world titled at her soft touch. His heart leaped and galloped. He jerked away from her, though it took all his control to do so. He’d wanted to nuzzle her palm, to savor the silkiness of her skin. Madness.

His gaze met hers. His nostrils flared seconds before he feathered his mouth across hers. She gasped, freezing on the spot. Her thoughts ricocheted, pinging between outrage and humming like a h0rny teenager.

“I have had visions of your body,” he glanced down, lingering on the curve of her breasts, “beneath me. Here, now, it is taking every ounce of my strength not to kiss you again.”

Reader reviews:

5.0 out of 5 stars Braving the future
Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2024
This book had a whole lot going on from the very start, and it kept my rapt attention the entire time. The primary goal throughout the novel is to retrieve a female OBGYN from Earth for the Queen. What that task ends up entailing is quite the symphony of revelations, confrontations, enlightening experiences, battles, pairings, and a whole mess of drama. Right in the middle of all of it is the adorable Lily (Nerx's adopted daughter). She is the constant ray of sunshine throughout the book. Nerx and Britt, well, let's say they didn't get off on the best of terms and had some serious ground to cover during their return trip to Etteria (the capital center). Medic Aldur and Dahlia (who was The OBGYN and Britt's mom) were on the other end of that spectrum. I enjoyed that both women found their mates at the sane time. Britt though, struggled with fully dealing with her father's death (abd the loss of her aspirations) a few years prior. Would she make a willing shift from rebellion to motherhood? It was quite a drastic change, physically and emotionally. Nerx was in for changes as well, having intended to live as a solitary life until entering the Void. Was he up to the challenges ahead of him? Could they possibly face them together?

This was another amazing novel in this wonderfully crafted galaxy, with these strong, dominant, honorable men. I can't wait for the next one!! I was graced with a free copy of this book and volunteered my review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
