She buried her fingers in his mane, and his senses exploded, merging into a ball of intense need. When she tightened her arms, it shot fiery darts along his veins, dragging a growl from him. She was his, and he would have her many times to appease this craving.

 

Her scent hit him, enflaming his senses, and shaking his control. Closing his eyes to inhale again, he groaned. He unarmored his fingers and gripped her arms, marveling at the softness of her skin. Her tiny scars beneath his touch whispered of her skills as a warrior who’d survived many battles.

Five percent oxygen remained. Replace canister now. “Sure. Let me take the spare one out of my pocket. Oh, wait, it’s in my other pants.” Drawing in a calming breath, she tried one more time. “Mayday, mayday, woman adrift, taking the scenic route around…fargen space.”

They crowded each other in an ascending box. Her arm brushed against him, and a thousand sparks exploded outward. With all his strength, he kept his gaze forward, his arms by his side. Soon enough, he would have her beneath him, her sweet essence engulfing him.

She moaned, arching her back. Grabbing her ass, he hoisted her against him and strode to the bed. With one knee at a time, he crawled onto it, sprawling her beneath him. She reacted so fucking beautifully to his every touch.

On a future Earth where water is in short supply, seventeen-year-old Victoria Harper (Vic) ekes out a living by operating her family's solar farm. When her no account father sells her to pay off his gambling debts, she survives for ten years fighting as an arena gladiator. Vic seizes an opportunity to escape by boarding a space craft bound for a lunar base. From there she hires on as security for an ice hauler and is quickly betrayed. On the run, she encounters Drafe Arrak from a distant world who is on his own mission of vengeance. Vic and Drafe begin a torrid romance and work together in pursuit of their mutual goals.

The author pulls in the reader by building empathy for Vic and her plight. We are invested in her situation and root for her to succeed. The plot moves quickly but is well-paced giving the reader time to breathe between action sequences. The incorporated technology details, weaponry, and scene descriptions enhance the story and is well-balanced without going overboard with minutia. Overall, Sol Survivor is an enjoyable space romance with a satisfying ending.

Thank you for writing this story. It was everything I needed. I love the intrigue and romance; Vic and Drafe are a beautiful couple, and I want more of them.  I didn't want this book to end. This is definitely a book that others will want to read without any distraction, because once they are caught up in the story, they will not want to stop. I can't wait until book two comes out.

I loved the layout of the book. Before the story even starts there is a pronunciation page and descriptions of species that I found to be very helpful and make it easy to follow the story and not have to worry about how to pronounce or forget the description of a charter. Making it easy to picture the story. I have been in search of a good sci-fi series and I found it in this book. The story line sucks you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read the second book.
