IRE OF SILVER - Press Release
As the bastard daughter of an orc chief, Thugari is nothing more than a slave. After her last beating, disguising herself as a stable boy, she escapes, stealing as she runs. Unfortunately, her victim is the orc Rukk Knaraugh, a lawbringer from the Council.
When Rukk finds her, she tries to run, fearing for her life, but he’s skilled in tracking her. Claiming she is in his debt, he takes her with him, heading north as he hunts wild witches stealing babies. He agrees to release her from the debt in the dwarven city of Dussoum, where, for her, magicless people are welcome. Yet, he fascinates her, awakening something addictive within her along with the claim that she’s not without magical powers.
In the sinister Chaosthane Mountains circling Dussoum, it is not shelter she finds. Despite discovering the reason behind the stolen babies, a magic blossoms within her as does her love for a lawbringer.

Excerpts:
“Don’t look, I’m pulling on a tunic.”
Silence followed, and he returned to watching the townsfolk go about their business.
“What do you think?”
He looked, obedient for the moment. She had chosen the blue, setting the silver of her eyes ablaze with the opening parting to reveal the delicious swell of her breasts. Curse it. Growling something at her about needing mead, he did what any hot-blooded male would do when faced with this much temptation. He ran.
“Get off me.” She struggled, every wriggle nestling his hips against hers.
He sucked in a sharp breath, willing her to cease, desperate to stop the torment. “I vow not to harm you, little thief.”
“I-I won’t go back, lawbringer. Kill me and have done with it.”
Her apple-scented breath wafted over his chin and mouth.
He choked back a groan, anticipating how delicious she'd taste.
“Curse your allure, your beauty, your innocence. Curse the danger that follows you.”
Drawing in a deep breath, he crowded her. “Who hurt you?” “As if that matters now," she snapped. “It matters to me.” His voice spiked. “Follow me. If you do not, I’ll throw you over my shoulder again.”
His arms were tight, holding her from behind. The brush of his lips across her cheek and the heat spreading from the gentle touch made her stiffen. “You lose, Princess.” His breath feathered across her ear, spiraling shivers down her body. “Using your greater strength against me is cheating, Mighty Sohar.” She flipped her head to meet his crystal-blue gaze, her lips almost touching his in the process.
Her voice spiked, and she forced herself to breathe, hoping to calm her erratic heartbeat. “I don’t know if I can love you again, love anyone for that matter.” “Again?” His voice deepened then he lunged across the gap between them and wrapped his arms around her, crushing her against his chest.
Drawing in any residual Fox and flames, she smothered her energy until the tendrils receded into her palms, taking the intertwined scarlet markings with it. Having killed eleven men, self-disgust settled like day-old dumplings in her stomach. “Still believe I need you?” She placed a palm on Sohar's cool cheek before once again striding away from him.
Reader reviews:
5.0 out of 5 stars I loved how characters weren’t always as they appeared.

I loved everything about this book. The pacing. Action. Character development. The characters are as complex as real people are. Both good and bad. Leading to plot twists at the end that are unexpected in a very good way. It’s also obvious that a fair amount of research has been done on mythological creatures of our world then names and some features changed to suit the tale. I really respect an author willing to research mythology of various cultures not their own.
I know this is a stand alone novel but I crave more of this world. More of these characters and not just the main two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating and Easy Read!

4.5 stars. I very much enjoyed this book. I found the main characters to be well fleshed out and the world-building was imaginative and well done. I really enjoyed how there was a touch of the fated mate trope but there was not a lot of emphasis on it and I found the way that magic worked in this world added really well to the plot. The ultimate struggle between light and dark was well done and I think the "big bad" that was built was done very well. The ending was not predictable and overall I was really impressed with this read. I also really enjoyed how the main female character was given some magic and became a heroine, but not so much that she became this all powerful, untouchable thing where authors can sometimes get carried away. and I loved how some of the side characters were really kick butt women and that women very clearly had an equal role in this world. One thing I didn't quite love was what I felt to be an over-focus on virginity and purity. I felt that the plot could have driven itself really well without it and it came off overall as unnecessary in a way that could turn some people off. Overall, I would definitely recommend and enjoyed this read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fantasy!

There is a lot of emotion in this story. From the pain felt by Thugari with the way her father treats her, and not only her father, but everyone who works for him, to the anger Rukk feels toward his father for having his mother killed. There are so many levels and issues in this story, it’s unbelievable. The different forms of magic are something as well. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true fantasy if we didn’t also have a major betrayal by a beloved character. This story will remain with me for a long, long time.

This is the best book I’ve read in a while! Excellent world building, lovable characters, cool monsters, twists and turns. Thugari is such a sweet, naïve young woman, but also a bit wily and tough. Rukk is badass (and hot). Their chemistry is 🔥 with a predator-prey vibe at first. Interesting side characters. This story really surprised me a few times. I’d love to see more of its world and characters in future books!

Great world and character building. There was enough details about the world and characters I could picture everything. The heroes and heroines had a lot of trials and tribulations. Very action packed. I do agree with one of the other reads the glossary should have been at the front as I wrong in almost all the pronunciations in my head.
