SUN FORGED - Press Release

Meeting a drop-dead gorgeous man, who falls onto a knee the first time they meet, sounded too good to be true for Ava. Of course, with her luck, he had to be an alien. Thrust into an unknown alien world, meeting weird and scary creatures, and fearing for her life, Ava tries to survive as best as a hairstylist can.

Kanzo never expected to find a life mate, a Dar Eth. Since he was young, he was taught that pairings were rare with fewer females born. The statistics on finding his Dar Eth would be slim to none. Instead of dreaming and longing for companionship, he focused on being the best male possible, to end his life on a battlefield with honor. But when he experiences the Ethera—the life mate force, and is blessed with his female, he isn’t prepared for the level of pain, pleasure, and need she invokes within him.

Unable to save her as she’s teleported from him, the dark consuming pain in his chest drives him into a blinding rage. With no idea who stole her or where to begin the search, he will scour the known universe to find her, to hold the female he never wanted.

Excerpts:

“You plan to test us to find out which woman is your soulmate?”
He scowled. “I do not need to test. Every cell in my body knows the female.”
He jumped from his knees to his feet, striding toward her.
Startled, she shifted back until her bare backside hit the bulkhead.
“And if this female will not shower and dress, I will take her nudity as an invitation.”

He wrapped his arms around her and crushed her to him before lifting her off the floor.
Her weight was negligible as he buried his face in her neck.
He drew in a deep breath to capture her scent and trap it within his lungs.
Touching the skin of her bare back, he groaned at the softness just under his fingertips.
Without thought, he feathered his lips across hers.
Her breath merging with his surged a tremor through him.

“You smell…good,” he said, his voice above a whisper, his tone almost accusing. She pursed her full lips. He fought the urge to tease them apart with his own. To taste her—he was certain she was sweet. He wanted to hear her breath hitch, to hear her whimper and cry out as she’d done in his vision.

He rushed across the throne room as she leapt to her feet and ran toward him. He slowed to a halt, gaping at her revealing garment, her joyful smile, and the scraping of the chain dragging behind her. He trailed it to where it latched to the collar around her throat. She stopped inches from him and raised her fingers as if to touch him.

“I thought you hated me.” She glanced away. “Never,” he said and stole a quick kiss. Lowering her to her feet, he was careful to ensure she remained covered; a challenging task when he fought the urge to rip the garment off her.

Dropping her hand, he looped his arm around her waist. He spun her to press her back against the bulkhead. At her surprised gasp, he crushed his mouth to hers, delving in to taste her as he yearned to do. He twirled his tongue around hers while he pinned his hard edges to her soft body.

Gathering her courage, she brushed her mouth across his. He groaned and snaked his arm around her, pulling her closer to him. His eyes fluttered open, and he crushed her to his length. His mouth slashed over hers, his tongue swooping in.

Discussion or book club questions:

Ava is a hairstylist thrown into a completely alien world. How did her background shape her approach to danger, diplomacy, or even bonding with Kanzo?

Kanzo never dreamed of finding his Dar Eth. How does that history of emotional restraint affect his reaction when the Ethera bond is triggered?

Do you think Ava falls for Kanzo or for the Ethera connection first? Is it possible to separate the two?

How does Kanzo's intensity differ from traditional romantic heroes? Did his protectiveness make you swoon—or was it a red flag at times?

One major theme is “being unprepared for love.” How does this manifest in both Ava and Kanzo’s journeys?

Fate, biology, and choice all collide in this story. Do you think the Ethera connection overrides consent or enhances true love?

Ava’s displacement and trauma are never brushed aside—how does the book balance danger and romance, and what does it say about resilience?

How does the concept of “mate bonds” challenge or reinforce modern ideas about relationships and gender roles?

Kanzo loses Ava almost immediately after finding her. How did that separation affect your connection to them as a couple?

What moment made you believe in their bond? Was it emotional, physical, or something else?

Do you think their relationship would have worked on Earth—or did space and danger forge something stronger?

Imagine Ava giving alien warriors makeovers in a salon on Kanzo’s world. Would she thrive, or flip a table?

What scene would you want to see from Kanzo’s point of view that wasn’t included?

If Ava had never been teleported—how would their relationship have unfolded differently? Would it have been slower?

What advice would you give Ava after her first day in this alien world? And what advice would you give Kanzo before he falls to one knee?
